Rehab Report: Walk Fashion Show

Ask any 5 year old and they'll tell you, one of the most asked questions is: "What do you want to be when you grow up?". There's this unfortunate pressure to figure out the one thing you want to be in life. At 25, I've finally figured out that I don't have to settle for being one thing in life. Women are multitasking geniuses. We're mothers, daughters, wives, girlfriends, best friends, and so much more. Yes, I have a day job that may have nothing to do with my passion in life (Fashion). However, that's not the epitome of who I am. In life, you can be more than one thing and it's perfectly okay.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to be one of the many things I've always aspired to be: One of those fancily dressed women lucky enough to sit front row at the coolest fashion show. HaHa! No, but really I had a great time at the Walk Fashion Show held this past Saturday at Detroit's Garden Theater.

David Rose Collection

It kind of felt like New York Fashion Week invaded the city of Detroit. The show featured local designers and boutiques showing off their best work. Each collection became my favorite so it was hard to choose just a few photos to share with you. Here are some of my highlights from last week's show.

One of my favorite collections came from Thrift on the Ave. They brought resale to the runway by demonstrating how to make vintage or pre-owned fashions werk. If you're ever in the Detroit area, check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Kuddos to the Walk Fashion Show team for bringing high fashion to the city of Detroit.

Until next time....
