Five Beauty Faves

First, I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am not a make-up connoisseur. I'll dabble in it a little bit for a special occasion. However, outside of moisturizer and my benefit brow-zing (love that stuff), my morning routine is pretty simple. Over the past few months though, I have found a few new items to add to my make-up bag and I'm excited to share them with you.

First up, Aveeno's Positively Radiant Tone Corrector.I started using this about a month ago in hopes of getting rid of some dark spots on my cheeks. I was hesitant at first to spend $14.99 on something that I wasn't even sure would work. After reading some reviews and growing tired of looking at the same dark spots day after day, I gave in. I purchased mine from Target, under the safety net that if I didn't like it, I could gladly take it back. (Reason #551 why I love Target) Well, I didn't like it. I loved it. Per the directions, you apply it to the area twice a day (morning and evening) and should see results in about 2 weeks. At almost 4 weeks, I can definitely say I am happy with my results.

Second on my list of new faves is my Candy Land Lip Lacquer from the Lip Bar. Talk about pigmented color!; I first spotted this during the Lip Bar Mobile's Detroit debut and I knew that it had to come home with me. I love how bright the color is and the fact that it lasts all day long. Did I mention, that their products are all chemical free? With countless vibrant shades to pick from, there's surely something for everyone.

I found out about this this third item via the great MiaRay. She mentioned during her review how this Donna Karen Cashmere helped minimize sweating. I knew then, that I had to try it. Not only does it do that, it also smells really good. So much that I ended up getting the corresponding fragrance for Christmas. You almost don't even need it because the deodorant is good on its own. I purchased this back in November from Ulta and I still have quite a bit left, despite using it just about everyday.

Donna Karen Cashmere Mist Anti-Perspirant $24

Side note: If you're ever looking for something to do late at night, check out the Target clearance aisles lol. But Seriously, there are some hidden gems in the beauty aisle on clearance if you look hard enough. That's where I found this next product. NYX Wonder Pencil, literally does wonders. It conceals, brightens and lines pretty much anything you need it to. I've been using it to highlight my eyebrows. It gives just enough highlight without looking silly (we've all seen those silly eyebrows - no shade). I found mine for $3.48 on clearance but Ulta has it for less than $5 bucks

NYX Wonder Pencil $4.49

Last, but certainly not least on my list is the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I received a sample as a free gift with purchase and fell in love. The curved applicator really helps pull and elongate your eyelashes. Benefit suggests using this first before using a lengthening mascara for an even more dramatic effect. The lash conditioning formula last for up to 12 hours of fabulousness.
