Rehab Review: The Powerful Women

“ A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform” – Diane Mariechild

What happens when a room full of women comes together? Power! The third Powerful Women’s Luncheon was held on Saturday, August 30th 2014. In attendance were over 100 powerful women ready to share their backgrounds, experiences, inspirations and what makes them P O W E R F U L.

We had the pleasure of meeting so many great women doing so many great things! An international photojournalist (Ms. Monica Morgan), jewelry designers, lawyers, bakers, politicians (Ms. Brenda Lawrence), social workers, journalists, marketing professionals and of course fashionistas! To be in a room where positivity and women met was a testament to the true power that women hold. If we come together and look out for one another, imagine the places we can go.

Now for the fashion! Here are just a few of our favorite looks from the event:

Loved the pops of colors (remember our Fall trend report?) and the Tulle skirt (sheer-also a big Fall trend)

Jasmine, owner of The Pearled Shoe Box, a traveling vintage boutique, looked very vintage chic in her polka dot skirt and pearled bustier.

We live for peplums around here! Very lady-like paired with a bright pink pencil skirt.

Owners of House of Rehab:
Keisha in a plum Kenneth Cole dress, colorful heels, and red clutch. (dress was Rehabbed from a friend's wedding)
Ashlee in a black ruched dress from Target (only $7.48), nude heels (on sale at Aldo), and the Fashion Made Me Do It pin of course!

Bravo on such a fantastic event and thanks for having us ladies!
Meagan Lyles, founder of The Powerful Women and Creatively Flawless Branding
Morgan Foreman, hostess for the event
Brittini Brown, founder of The Bee Agency Public Relations

P.S. can we have more of these events?- an excuse to dress up!
